Monday night it stormed pretty heavily and I woke up to some earth-shaking thunder. It made me feel as though I'm somehow closer to the sky at the equator. Maybe it's related to the 4,000ft elevation? I made it through the night without being attacked by the cockroach, which I considered a win. I like to think I'm pretty hearty and durable, but apparently not. I was excited to start my second day with IH, but wondered how the heavy rainfall would affect our plan to return to the farm. I was supposed to be picked up by a boda, but they sent a car since bodas are a bit uncomfortable and a bit unsafe when it's raining that hard. When I got to work, I found out that we would be making a slight detour on the way to the farm so we could drop off 3 coworkers at a nearby town.
